Released 6 October 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.
Changes
Fixed: CCTV cameras now look the way their lens points. Each camera model has its own lens direction, and staff can line every model up in game with /cctvcalibrate: it draws the camera's view as lines from the lens, arrows turn it, PgUp and PgDn tilt it, and Enter saves it for every camera of that model at once. Existing cameras pick it up straight away, with no need to move them.
New: While you place or re-aim a camera, lines now show exactly what it will record, and V lets you look through the lens before you confirm.
New: CCTV cameras that are part of the map can now work as real cameras. Staff adopt them with /cctvadopt (aim at one, or scan an area) and give them to a faction, property, business or person. They record, play back and make clips like any other camera; they cannot be moved or picked up, but their owners can switch them on and off, and shooting one takes it offline.
New: Faction cameras: members whose rank can furnish, the leadership and the top rank see all of their faction's cameras on a new Faction cameras tab, from the CCTV phone app or a monitor in a faction building. A faction can share its cameras with another faction, for example a government with its police.
