Patch 2.55.0: Garages: orders, servicing, logbooks and the work nobody writes down

Garages: orders, servicing, logbooks and the work nobody writes down (9 September 2026).

Released 9 September 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.

Changes

  • New: Garage orders. Stand by your car at a mechanic business and use /order to pick the mods you want. The shop sees it on /orders: accepting takes the money from your bank into the company account, the shop buys the parts crates the order needs from the workshop catalogue, then the mechanic roleplays the work and marks the order complete to fit it, which uses the parts up. Declined or cancelled orders refund you.

  • New: Service desk. /mservice gives working mechanics twelve services with real effects: diagnostics, oil, coolant, brake and gearbox services, a full service, a roadworthiness inspection that passes or fails, battery replacement, alignment, tyres, a valet with wax, and a mileage certificate. Customer work is quoted to the owner first.

  • New: Logbooks. Every vehicle now has a VIN and a logbook: /logbook shows the VIN, odometer, inspection status, fault codes, component wear, service history, paid garage work and orders. The MDC shows the VIN and odometer on a vehicle check.

  • New: Off the books. Mechanics can wind an odometer back, grind a VIN off, and strip a car for parts on their own forecourt with a chop saw. Each one warns you it is a crime and must be roleplayed. A car with its VIN gone and no honest plates cannot be traced to its owner in the MDC.

  • New: Keys. /givevehkeys <player> shares keys to the car you are in or next to. Mechanics can buy a key cloning device in /workshop and use /keycloner to copy any key a customer has shared with them. A cloned key opens and starts that car whenever the holder likes, even after the owner takes the share back.

  • New: Staff: /companyadmin (Level 2+) creates companies for players, signs a property over, assigns it and sets the business type by standing in it. /assignproperty for owners now works on the property you are standing in instead of an id.
