Patch 2.107.0: Air traffic control rebuilt: radio frequencies, radar console, ATIS, transponders and a pilot logbook

Air traffic control rebuilt: radio frequencies, radar console, ATIS, transponders and a pilot logbook (7 October 2026).

Released 7 October 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.

Changes

  • New: Every airfield now has its own tower, ground and ATIS frequencies, and the county has Los Santos, Blaine and Coral approach. The ATC radio is text on real frequencies: you only hear the stations you are tuned to, plus guard on 121.50. Open /atcradio to tune, read the frequency directory, make requests and read back instructions.

  • New: Request taxi, take-off, landing, flight following, a zone transit or an IFR clearance with one button. Your radio tunes itself to the right station, the request goes out in proper phraseology, and the answer comes back on frequency with a Read back button that also sets your squawk or new frequency.

  • New: ATIS for each airfield with an information letter, wind from the live weather, the runway in use chosen by the wind, conditions, QNH and NOTAMs. Read it in the radio panel or with /atis.

  • New: Transponders: set your squawk on a keypad or with /squawk, switch between off, standby, on and altitude, and /ident. 7700 alerts fire, EMS and police, 7500 silently alerts the police, and 7600 gets you called on guard. With the transponder off you are only a plain dot on radar.

  • New: Flight plans now carry your aircraft type, route, cruise altitude, souls on board and IFR or VFR. A plan activates when you take off, closes when you land, and an aircraft that goes missing from radar mid-flight raises a search and rescue call with its last known position. IFR plans need the instrument rating.

  • New: A new ATC console at /tower: a live radar scope with range rings, runways, data blocks, history dots and filters, flight strips by phase, one-click instructions in standard phraseology, conflict, runway incursion, restricted airspace and Coral Island ADIZ alerts, ATIS and NOTAM management, and a staff audit tab. Log on as Ground, Tower or Approach for one airfield or the whole county.

  • New: The automated tower now picks the runway from the wind, sequences arrivals with numbers, never clears a take-off and a landing on the same runway, sends a go-around when someone strays onto the runway in front of you, gives traffic information, and hands over airfield by airfield when a controller logs on.

  • New: A pilot logbook with your hours, landings, aircraft and airfields at /pilotlog. Landing fees advertised at airfields are now actually charged, once per airfield every 15 minutes, and go to the government. On-duty police, f
