Released 6 September 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.
Changes
New: The inventory has been rebuilt around a grid. Items now take up space according to their size rather than filling one slot each, so a rifle costs you far more room than a sandwich and packing sensibly is worth doing. The whole screen has been redrawn around it.
New: Apartments, containers, safes, vehicle boots, bins, the evidence system, hunting and trash have all been moved onto the new grid inventory, so every container in the world behaves the same way and stays in sync wherever you open it.
New: Weapon attachments are in, and the weapons you are carrying now sit on your body where you would expect them rather than vanishing into a menu. Use /weaponspec if you want to reposition how a weapon hangs on your character.
New: Card skimmers. A skimmer can be fitted to an ATM and collected later with /collectskimmer, bringing whatever it caught with it.
Fixed: Added /recoveritems so you can claim anything that did not fit when your old inventory was migrated onto the grid. Nothing was thrown away; it was held aside until there was room for it.
Fixed: Fixed legacy containers losing their contents on the way to the new system, missing text in the inventory screen, and the database migrations failing to apply after the merge.
Fixed: Fixed skimmers that could be placed but never used.
New: Automatic login. Tick remember me on the sign in screen, or use /rememberme, and the server signs you back in on its own next time. It is off until you ask for it, it tells you while it is happening, and if it cannot sign you in it hands you straight back to the normal screen instead of leaving you stuck.
New: The barber now covers facial hair, eyebrows and scalp pigmentation alongside hair, each with its own previews, colour palette and an opacity slider for how heavy it sits. Beard and eyebrow colour follow your hair colour until you deliberately set them apart, so you no longer end up with black eyebrows over red hair.
New: The hair tattoo shop has been folded into the barber as scalp pigmentation, so fades and shaved designs are bought in the same place as the rest of your hair. Anything you already own carries over untouched. The typed /hairtattoo and /hairtattoos commands are gone in favour of the screen.
Fixed: Clothing and barber previews now use your own face, skin and eyebrows instead of a blank default head, so what you see on the card is what y
