Patch 2.38.0: Alarms someone actually answers, night work on Vinewood Boulevard and companies without a headcount

Alarms someone actually answers, night work on Vinewood Boulevard and companies without a headcount (30 August 2026).

Released 30 August 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.

Changes

  • New: Home alarms are a business now. A security company holding a Private Security License can install and monitor alarms at client properties with /securityinstall: the tech brings the keypad, the owner approves the job and the price face to face, sets their own PIN, and the fee lands in the company account. From then on, when that alarm trips, every online member of the company is alerted with a waypoint alongside the owner. Factions can be authorised as providers too, and /alarmclients lists your installs. Nobody sees another firm's clients.

  • New: Triggered alarms are properly loud now. Instead of a single beep, a real siren wails from the property and falls away with distance, so a break-in draws the attention it deserves.

  • New: Sex workers in the red light district can take AI customers. /redlightwork puts you on the stroll, and cars pull up at the known spots through the night. The customer texts you, marks themselves on your map, and asks for something specific, then you haggle over the price in a proper negotiation. Agree, get in the car, and the scene plays out in animations with the roleplay written into chat, ending with the cash changing hands. Step out of the car at any point and it all stops. The command warns you what you are signing up for before it lets you anywhere near it.

  • Balance: Company member limits are gone. Every entity type, from a sole proprietorship to a corporation, can hire as many people as it can pay.

  • Fixed: Fixed server announcements never appearing when you spawned in. They show shortly after you load into the world now, and new players get a first-time setup note walking them through raising the Extended Texture Budget so the city streams in properly.

  • Fixed: Cleaned up the Mile High Club construction site: the leftover crane base and the floating scaffold cage by the plaza are gone, and the LS River bed loads its proper terrain instead of fighting itself over which version to show.

  • New: The furniture editor freecam has an adjustable speed and glides instead of jerking, so lining up a shot or a placement is far less of a fight.

  • Fixed: Fixed the daily streak not counting today once your 3 active hours were in.

  • Fixed: Fixed travelling to Cayo Perico tripping the anticheat, and drawing a taser no longer flags you for ammo you never had.

  • Balance: Small street bins are no longer worth diving. Dumpster diving means dumpsters
