Changes
Content: The Dream View Motel in Paleto Bay is now a business owned by Natasha Valentine. Its seven rooms belong to whoever owns the reception, and the owner sets the prices in /landlord. Guests still book at the room door, at Dynasty 8 or on the phone.
New: Motel owners run their motel from the Motels tab in /landlord: room classes with prices by the hour, night or week, deposits, house rules, check-out grace, cleaning time, overstay and lost key fees, and prices for single rooms. Takings go to the owner or their company, less sales tax.
New: Press E at a motel reception to use the front desk: every room with its status and price, and you can book any free room from there.
New: Your stay: use /stay or the Your stay option at your room door to see the time left, extend, check out early, add a companion or change the locks. You get a reminder 15 minutes before check-out.
New: Motel guests get their own storage in the room. It stays with you for your next stay in that room and the next guest cannot open it.
New: Motel owners can take on staff for the front desk or pricing, mark rooms for cleaning or out of service, lock a guest out, ban someone, add notes and look through the guest history.
New: /landlord has been rebuilt with a dashboard, your properties grouped by building, tenants, maintenance, statements and your team. /lease is the tenant side, with your tenancies, motel stays and repair requests.
New: Landlords can ask tenants to apply first and set a minimum credit score. Each application comes with a screening report of past tenancies, missed payments and references, and landlords can leave a reference when a tenancy ends.
New: Tenants can pay arrears in part, give notice, agree an end date with the landlord, report problems and see inspection notes. Landlords can schedule inspections, change the rent on several homes at once with 30 days notice and email themselves a monthly statement.
New: Deposits are protected. After a tenancy ends the landlord has 48 hours to claim part of it (30 minutes after a motel stay), the tenant can accept or dispute, and property management decides disputes. Anything not claimed comes back to you automatically.
New: Landlords can bring in property managers with chosen permissions and have rent paid into a company account.
