Patch 2.155.0: Grow your own: cannabis growing, dosing, overdoses and recovery

Grow your own: cannabis growing, dosing, overdoses and recovery (11 October 2026).

Released 11 October 2026. Back to the changelog. UCP patch notes.

Changes

  • New: Cannabis growing is rebuilt. Set a grow tent up in a property you can furnish, or plant out in a wild plot in the Blaine County and Paleto hills (nine plot areas with different soil, foot traffic and cover; the grow panel's guide shows them on the map with a GPS button). Use a seed or clone from your inventory to plant, and press E at a tent or a wild plant to open the grow panel.

  • New: Plants grow through seedling, growing, flowering and ready (about two and a half hours in a tent, longer outdoors, slower in winter) and you can watch them change in the world and in the panel. Keep water and nutrients in the green band: too dry wilts, too wet rots the roots, too much feed burns. Pests, bud mould, heat, cold, deer and rabbits all cause problems, each with a fix in the panel. Health and care during flowering decide quality, potency and yield.

  • New: Genetics: every seed rolls its own plant within its strain's range, a rooted cutting keeps its mother's genes exactly, and pollinating a flowering plant with another drops seeds of the new cross at harvest. Strain cards show THC, yield, speed, resistance and hardiness, and the breeding preview shows the range the seeds can land in.

  • New: Tents take an LED light (more and stronger buds, less power), a carbon filter (cuts the smell and stops mould) and a drip kit (waters from a reservoir). Grow lights use electricity, which is added to the property's electricity bill. Every plant has a grow diary. Harvests go into the existing trim, dry and cure workbench, which the panel opens for you.

  • New: Risk: flowering plants smell, and police walking past a smelly tent's front door or a wild plot get a cue. Hikers can call a wild plot in. Anyone who finds your plants can strip them, but it is slow, they lose some of it, you are told, and they may be reported. Police can seize single plants or a whole tent into an evidence bag, and suspected grows appear on the MDC narcotics list.

  • New: Using drugs now shows a dose card first: purity, your tolerance, how hard each amount will hit and how close it puts you to an overdose, plus how long it lasts and what it does. A second dose within fifteen minutes stacks on the first. Each drug now plays out on screen with its own look, walk and pace, building up, peaking and wearing off, with a comedown for stimulants and opioids. Reduce screen effects in Settings turns
