Changes
New: The self-service mod bay in Sandy Shores is now a full garage. Park in one of the three marked drop-off bays, step out and talk to reception. You get a quote for every job the car needs: engine and body repair, glass, burst tyres, a new set of tyres, oil change, coolant flush, brake bleed, gearbox service, full service, battery, wheel alignment, wash and valet, and a roadworthiness inspection.
New: Hand over the keys and the car goes into the workshop with a numbered ticket, a place in the queue and an estimated time. Three technicians work at once. You can wait or leave: your phone tells you when work starts and when the car is ready. Come back to reception, pay by cash, bank or card, and the car is waiting in the bay. Cancel for free any time before the work is finished.
New: Paid diagnostics read engine temperature, limp mode, knock, alignment, every fluid, battery, tyre tread, brake pads and fault codes, and mark the jobs the car really needs. Parked somewhere else? Book it from reception and the garage tows it in for a fee.
New: Every job goes into the vehicle logbook, including a six-month inspection certificate, and /garagejobs shows your tickets and receipts from anywhere. Maintenance comes with a 72-hour workshop warranty: the same job again on the same car is half price. Windscreen cover still makes glass free.
Balance: The garage costs more than a player mechanic: labour is $18 a minute against the standard workshop rate of $12, and repairs are charged at one and a half times the repair quote. While any player mechanic is on duty, garage prices go up 25% and jobs take 50% longer, and reception offers to call a mechanic for you. Paint and mods are still at the bay, but repairs are now booked at reception.
New: Staff: /npcgarage opens the queue with every open and recent job. Admins can cancel a job or release a car free of charge; Senior Admins can refund a paid job, change the price multiplier, set opening hours or stop new bookings. Every staff action is logged.
